Rural Management and Value Co-creation: Rural Areas of Pakistan and the Digital Age

This review investigates the application of digital technologies in rural Pakistan, including a co-creation of value and sustainable development. The article discusses the situation in rural management today, drawing attention to the important role of IoT, wireless communication technologies, and digital platforms in changing agriculture, healthcare, education, and economic activities. It recognizes the barriers of rural communities such as lack of infrastructure, digital literacy and the resistance of culture, which is a barrier to the uptake of these technologies. The review carries success stories of digital and renewable energy projects that have empowered the rural communities, enhancing their resource, information and market accessibility. It further talks about how smart agriculture, financial inclusion, and e-governance can be utilized to build a more inclusive, sustainable rural future. The paper ends with recommendations to overcome the obstacles to digital integration and highlights why policy interventions, infrastructure investment, and partnerships between the government and the business sector are required to achieve inclusive digital transformation in rural Pakistan.
