Abstract

Containing vanadium, molybdenum, aluminum, nickel and cobalt, the spent catalyst is an important secondary resource. Comprehensive recovery of spent catalyst can reduce the loss of valuable metals and avoid environment pollution. It has the important sense of economy and environment. Based on the main components of spent catalyst, soda roasting-water leaching was adopted to extract vanadium and molybdenum from spent catalyst. The effects of main factors on roasting were researched. At the condition of sodium carbonate addition of 25%, the roasting temperature of 650℃, the roasting time of 60min and the leaching rate of vanadium reached 94.31%, the leaching rate of molybdenum reached 96.58%. Soda roasting water leaching has the advantage of easy component and high leaching rate. In the water leaching process, vanadium, molybdenum and aluminum dissolve into water, nickel oxide and cobalt oxide concentrate on the leaching reside. Soda roasting-water leaching creates a favorable condition to further extract nickel and cobalt by acid leaching. Meet the requirements of modern comprehensive recovery and environment protection.
